Instructions: To Operate the Power Back-Up and Mobile Phone Charger Using Rechargeable Batteries:
1. Make sure that rechargeable batteries are fully charged before use.
2.Turn the Charger so that the bottom of the unit is facing “Up” and the “ARROW” on the “Bottom Cover” is pointing away from you. Remove the “Bottom Cover” by placing your thumbs on the bottom cover and pressing down and pushing in the direction on the “Bottom Cover” indicated by the “Bottom Cover” ARROW. Remove the cover by sliding it off the Charger. This will allow access to the battery cavity area.
3. Insert batteries as indicated by the battery (+) and (-) indicators on the inside body of the Charger. For example, “+” means to insert the battery so the “+” end of the battery is at the “+” sign on the unit. (If using Rechargeable Batteries, make sure they are fully charged.)
4. Reattach the battery “Bottom Cover” piece to the Charger by sliding the “Bottom Cover” piece back on to the main body of the Charger. The “Bottom Cover” piece will slide over the first two batteries, but you need to press the second set of (2) batteries down slightly, using both index fingers, in order to finish sliding the “Bottom Cover” piece in place.
5. Remove the rubber cap from the top of the Charger. This will expose the DC socket. (Note: The rubber cap is tethered to the Charger – do not remove it from its tether.)
6. Connect your phone-specific (or other mobile device) car charger power cord to the Charger by inserting the DC plug of the power cord into the Charger’s DC socket.
7. Connect your phone (or other mobile device) to the connector located at the opposite end of your car charger power cord.
• The Charger is automatically turned ON, and will begin charging your phone (or other mobile device).
• The green Charge Indicator LED on the Charger will automatically turn on within 10 seconds.
• Disconnect your mobile device from Socket Tuit™ by simply unplugging the mobile device power cord from Socket Tuit™. The Charger will automatically turn OFF.
8. Your phone should indicate that it is charging. If your mobile phone battery charge indicator shows one or more bars, you may start talking immediately. If there are no bars showing, you may have to wait several minutes before you are able to talk.
• Remove the Charger immediately when the charging process is complete.
• DO NOT leave the Charger connected to the mobile phone (or other mobile device) overnight.
9. When the green Charge Indicator LED begins to flicker or does not light up at all, it is an indication that the rechargeable AA batteries in the Charger are low and need to be recharged or replaced. Before removing the batteries:
• Disconnect the mobile phone (or other mobile device) from the Charger.
• Remove batteries from the Charger and replace with fresh, fully charged batteries. (As an option, you may turn the flashlight to ON to completely discharge the batteries. When batteries are completely discharged, turn the flashlight OFF).
